Why Blog?

I’ve been considering a “real blog” since the bygone days of livejournal in the early 2000s. A blog about work, a blog about life, a blog about ttc, a photoblog, a blog about pregnancy, a blog to update family on just everything, a blog to feel connected, a blog of cocktails. There have been a million ideas.

I’ve been thinking about it for so long that some of those mommy bloggers in the blogroll to my right were TTC when I found them and are now sending kiddos off to college kindergarten.

In the mean time, Ashley & I started “Project 365” on flickr 4 years ago. It was supposed to force us to learn our camera and become world renowned photographers. Instead of art, it became a daily snapshot of the fun and the mundane. After the first year, I was shocked by and fell in love with the daily photo diary we had created. So P365 became a visual blog of sorts. And it taught me how valuable it is to have that record.

So now, 1/2 way through my first pregnancy for our first child, I have a strong urge to record it all. So here is Taylors’ Tidbits – for us, for our families and friends, and for Elia.

About Alicia

A New Orleans girl living in Georgia and starting a family. This blog is and outlet for my thoughts and pondering while pregnant, figuring out how to raise a little one, defining our family as a 2 mother household, work/careers, and just anything else I have to get off my mind. You can also expect the ruminations of special guest blogger, Ashley.
